Meet Ricardo

The mechanic behind Utah Roadrunner. He runs it with his wife, Jessica, out of Tooele.

Whenever I step away from this work, I miss it.

Ricardo trained at UTI and started doing mobile repair in Florida, working out of whatever he had, including a minivan and at one point a Honda Civic. He brought that work home to Tooele and built Utah Roadrunner around a simple idea: bring the mechanic to the car.

Why mobile

Shop work taught Ricardo how the industry pays: by the job, not the hour, with pressure to sell more than the car needs. Mobile repair lets him do it the other way. Find the real problem, fix what needs fixing, and tell people straight when something can wait.

The jobs he likes most

The hard ones. Electrical problems, intermittent faults and the car that has been to two shops and still has the light on. A local dealership already sends him cars for exactly these. See diagnostics.
