Signs of a cooling problem
- The temperature gauge climbs above normal
- Steam from under the hood
- Green, orange or pink puddles under the front of the car
- A sweet smell after driving
- The heater blows cold in winter
- You keep adding coolant
If your engine is overheating
Pull over when it is safe and turn the engine off. Do not open the radiator cap while it is hot; the coolant is under pressure and can burn you. Driving an overheating engine can warp the head and blow a head gasket, which turns a small repair into a big one.
What we repair
- Radiators and radiator hoses
- Water pumps
- Thermostats
- Cooling fans and fan relays
- Heater hoses and overflow tanks
- Coolant flushes with the right coolant for your vehicle
Find the leak first
We pressure test the system to find where coolant is escaping instead of guessing. Our guide to leak colors helps you tell coolant from oil or transmission fluid.
Done in your driveway?
Radiators, hoses, thermostats, fans and many water pumps are driveway jobs.
When it needs a shop
Water pumps driven by the timing belt can be a longer job. If overheating already damaged the head gasket, that needs a shop.
